To Know God And To Make Him Known

Audio Recording & Distribution

The main mixing board is a Mackie 24x8 board and a Mackie 24e extension giving 48 total input channels and is used for a front of house sound reinforcement mix, monitor mix and a recording mix.

The recording mix is via the Mix-B inputs and is mixed in stereo.  The Mix-B outputs are passed to a Rane SM-26B splitter/mixer that divides the stereo signal into three stereo pairs.  These stereo pairs are used as follows:

One stereo pair feeds a TASCAM 302 Dual Well Cassette Deck for cassette recording.  We will only record to cassette tape if someone places a request prior to the service to be recorded.

One stereo pair feeds a Sony PCM-R300 DAT recorder.  The DAT recorder then passes a digital signal via optical cable to a Sony CDR-W33 Professional CD Recorder to create a Master CD copy of the service.  The DAT recorder is the primary recording device and the tapes are stored on-site in the event a new CD Master needs to be made.  The CD Masters are stored off-site.

One stereo pair is unused at this time but will in the future be used to record directly to a computer.

An APC Powerstack 250VA rack-mount Smart-UPS is used to supply power to the Sony PCM-R300 DAT Recorder, the Sony CDR-W33 Professional CD Recorder and the TASCAM 302 Dual Well Cassette Deck in the event of a power failure.

A Sony RCD-W1 CD duplicator is used to make copies from the CD Master.  One copy is always given to the speaker.  Additional copies are made on a by-request basis.  Please see the Sermon Order Form for additional information on acquiring copies of a particular service or you may download the service from the Sermons download page, if the sermon is available.
